Community

Describing the work of the Community Committee

As individuals, we are all part of a community. It may be an urban comminuty, rural, work or even  interest group. Communities are the building blocks of society and are what give people a sense of belonging.

As Rotarians, we are committed to supporting our own community and encouraging good and positive attributes and projects in our communities. This can be through helping out financially or in more practical terms when there is need. It can be through sponsorship of young sportsmen/women, creating opportunities for travel, participation and education. It's through helping the elderly, the young and the sick. It's also about civic pride in the communities that we are proud to call home.
