Both Youth Speaks and Young Photographer was held in January 2020 with great success. Click on to see details. Sadly both events had to be cancelled for 2021 and we hope to resume again next year with these very successful activities.

Hope is people wishing something would happen. Faith is people believing things will happen. Rotarians are people making things happen.

HELD AT LEMON QUAY ON SHROVE TUESDAY

All Club Meetings have been cancelled until further notice.Tuesday evening Zoom meetings are now being held and members will be advised by email.

In March we held our annual Presidents Night which recognises the hard work of the active President then John Simpson. We thanked John for all his hard work during his year and also recognised Ron Purser with a Paul Harris Fellowship.

We recently passed a unanimous vote on supporting this excellent Rotary charity by sending a pledge donation from the Club

Some amazing photos from the winners of our Club Competition,which was judged on January 29th in Truro,by our three local judges, to whom we give many thanks, - David Penprase, John Peck, and Jonathan Jacobs.The theme was " A DIFFERENT PERSPECTIVE"

An evening to revisit the film of this amazing series raised over £960. Thanks to Jennie Reed for organising the event

The Truro Club has been very active in the past six months in both a service and social point of view. Here are some of the events in which we have been engaged - picture shows Kids OUt at Flambards in July -John Simpson and Jennie Reed

We would also like to thank all the members of the Truro Rotary Club and their wives,Inner Wheel and Truro Rotary Evolution Club for giving their time in supporting the collection at Sainsburys. We raised over £9,030. Thank you also Sainsburys Truro.

Rotary EVOLUTION Club Diary Dates

This was attended by President Mike Robson, seen here with President Raj Dhumale of Truro Boscawen Rotary and followed a very successful Poppy week collection with Truro Rotary collecting over £7000 from our very generous Truro public. Thank you.

Our annual Youth Speaks competition was held in mid January at Killiow Golf Club judged by Chairman Ian Halford, the Rev. Derek Collins and Marjorie Edwards

Our new President Jennie Reed took over the role on Tuesday 12th January 2021 from Mike Robson. This was a virtual handover on Zoom. Our thanks go to Mike for a succesful 18 months and congratualtions to Jennie for taking on for another 18 months.
