Rotary Youth Speaks competition

The KIngsley School team receive their award for winning the senior event from the Mayor of Warwick, Councillor Trudy Offer, supported by President Roger Smith.

This public speaking event organised annually by the Rotary organisation is for schools in the area to advance their debating skills.   It starts off on a local basis and the winning teams go forward to compete at District level before the final advancement to the National event.

Held in St. Nicholas Church Warwick on 9th February 2012, 5 schools competed in the senior competition for pupils between the ages of 14 & 17, and 4 schools entered the intermediate competition for those between 11 - 13 years.

Kingsley school were the winners in the top event, with Myton School as runners-up, whilst in the junior section the winners were Warwick School, with North Leamington School coming second.

The District Finals will take place at Arden School, Knowle on March 9th.   Details will be published shortly.
