Student of the Year

Crompton & Royton Rotary Club Student of the Year awards at Crompton House School

As in previous years the Club has been proud to sponsor the Students of the Year Award at Crompton House School. The awards celebrate the wider acheivements of the sixth-formers recognising their leadership, community and charity work. Presentations were made to three very worthy recipients from Year 13.

Lydia Harvey for her charity work throughout her time at school. Lydia was involved in a number of fund raising activities, and has also volunteered at Kampala Childrens Cenre in Uganda.

Jack McKie for coaching football and playing for the school. Jack, who is also Head boy, is a goal keeper and has run coaching sessions for younger players at the school.

Anna Lord for leading the school to National Water Polo Champions for 3 successive years. Anna, who is currently training for the under 19's GB squad, was instrumental at introducing waterpolo at the school.

The awards were made at the Sixth Form Leavers Assembly, and the recipients attended the club’s lunchtime meeting on 25th May, where they made a very good impression on the members.
