Our annual away weekend!Don't miss it.Please advise John H. of your availability Now! so he can arrange accomodation Tell you what from experience it's hard walking down Snowdon! But what a view. PLEASE SEE JH UPDATE BELOW

Its up a Blinking Mountain!

AN IMPORTANT NOTE FROM JOHN HYNDMAN !!

I hope this finds you well. Richard Crisp and I are working in tandem on the programme for Saturday 18th May and propose the following attractions for your consideration.

(i)                  ELECTRIC MOUNTAIN visit near LLANBERIS at 12 noon. We would need to be there by 11.45am and the conducted tour will be finished by 1.30pm. This promises to be an outstanding opportunity to see and learn about the DINORWIC Pumped Storage Power Station in a really unique location.

(ii)                SNOWDON MOUNTAIN RAILWAY  again in the same vicinity for a slow but scenic trip up Snowdon and down again. There will be a 30 minute stop at the summit to enjoy the views and have light refreshment if required. We may see local walkers en route as well as 500 charity walkers supporting  the Prostate Cancer Campaign.

We need accurate numbers for both or either visit as bookings are essential and the sooner the better to ensure we can take advantage of discounts and the opportunities. I recognise that some of our group are threatening to ascend the mountain on foot and will not be at either of these attractions. I can organise transport earlier on Saturday morning for those adventurers to Snowdon. Those for the attractions can readily car share to go to LLANBERIS. Richard can enlighten you on the ELECTRIC MOUNTAIN visit and the Snowdon Mountain Railway has a good website. We will qualify for group discounts if we have 25 or more for each. Accurate costs will be available soon but guide prices are
