Members of Bolton Daybreak Rotary club on a training day with GM Fire & Rescue Service

A total of 450 visits have been carried out in the year (June 2012 - July 2013), giving over 500 since the commencement of the project.

A team of Rotary club members have volunteered to work with GM Fire & Rescue Service, to offer free home fire safety checks and where appropriate fit a free smoke alarm (see picture)

Club members have undergone a training scheme, conducted by GM Fire & Rescue Service to be able to offer this service

For your peace of mind

  • House visits are only ever done by appointment with the house holder

  • All team members have been CRB checked

  • Two members of the team will arrive to do the inspection, and will be dressed in Fire Service uniforms and have identification

  • At the end of the inspection, a free Smoke Alarm will be fitted (where appropriate) and advice on fire safety given

Should you wish to book an appointment, seek information or are interested in joining the scheme please send us a message via the Contact Us link. A club member will then call you back

or if you would prefer call Greater Manchester Fire & Rescue Service on 0800 555 815
