Linking Roll the Barrel competition with the  Roll Out the Barrel Charity, President Elfed and Denbigh Town Councillor and Denbighshire's Miss Galaxy, Rachel Tate, walked around the  course on High Street to make people aware of the charity whose the aim is to give barrels which can be pushed by women and girls to  carry water for domestic use.  Currently heavy buckets of water have to be carried and often over long distances.

In spring there will be a sponsored barrel push along roads in the Vale of Clwyd to raise more funds to purchase barrels.
