Young Photographer Competition 2013

This competition is organised by the Rotary Club of Formby with the assistance of the Formby Photo Group. Entry to this competition is free to young photographers living in or at school in Formby aged 16 or under on 1st of Jan 2013
There was no set theme to the competition allowing the entrants to choose any subject they wished and this produced a very varied range of subjects for the judges to consider.
Over 50 photographs were entered in the two age groups - junior section up to 11 yrs and the senior section 12 to 16 yrs. There were many excellent entries but the winner of the junior section was Marcus Dell whose innovative photo entitled "Mutant Frog

more Proceeds from the Concert are in aid of the Parents and Carers Team Sefton (PACTS), which is an independent group of some 300 parents and carers, who have disabled children up to 25 years of age, and live in Sefton.

Rotary Day Purple Crocus Collection
more We handed out artificial purple crocuses whilst making a collection for the Rotary Polio Eradication World Wide Programme (for which the purple crocus is the symbol). It took place in in Chapel Lane, Formby on 23 February 2013.
