17 April 2013 - we welcome the GSE team from Auckland, New Zealand to our evening meeting

.

Another great night of fellowship at Amersham Rotary Club!

President Richard Langley hosted 'The 5 Ferns in London' (AKA the GSE D9920 Auckland, New Zealand Team) on their visit to The Rotary club of Amersham this evening. The team were welcomed to Amersham by the Town Mayor Cllr Mimi Harker OBE followed by the traditional Hongi Maori welcome performed by the GSE team.  During the meal we were shown some amazing images of Aotearoa (Land of the Long White Cloud - New Zealand).

Following a hot buffet, we were treated to a presentation by Ursula Aitken, Gaylene Rice, Hayley Smith, Toni Hayward and Team Leader Mike Williamson.  The presentation was followed by a demonstration of Poi Dancing, several members also tried their skills at this unique exercise.  Songs were sung and Club Banners exchanged.

Photographs of the evening can be seen on the D1260 Flickr Page: http://bit.ly/ZshzsY

The activities of the New Zealand GSE Team whilst being hosted in D1260 can be seen by visiting their Facebook Page.  Log into Facebook and type '5 Ferns in London' into the search bar.
