Bury Abbey Rotary Club help raise money for RNLI

Members of Bury Abbey Rotary Club were seen to be loitering on the streets of Bury St Edmunds on Saturday 22nd June helping with the annual RNLI street collection in the town and meeting some of the characters in Bury St Edmunds.

Sharon was told at one point that she is the "most beautiful woman in Bury St Edmunds" and later in the day I was approached by a man that said "I have some bad news for you". Woundering what on earth he was on about he then said, "you are not as pretty as the young lady that was here earlier". This made me laugh and I realised this must be the chap that had fallen in love with Sharon.

So you see, even the tin rattling type of fundraising can be fun laugh

After the event the local RNLI Chairman sent the following email to Phil Peters, the current President of Bury Abbey Rotary Club.
