25 Jan 2013: Congratulations to our District 1090 DG Judith Diment, who has been invited to chair the RI Global Polio Advocacy Committee from July 2013.

22 Jan 2013: Helping Stroke Care in the area: President Nick Fritz gave the Chairman of Trustees for Stroke Care for Newbury and West Berkshire a cheque for 2,500GBP.

21 Jan 2013: Rotary Club supports the Hungerford Resource Centre: The Hungerford Resource Centre, with the Help of the Hungerford Rotary Club, have opened a Sensory Room to enable their customers to relax and meditate..

17 Jan 2013: Supporting Hungerford Brownies: President Nick Fritz has presented a cheque to Hungerford Brownies for High Visibility vests and torches to help them qualify for their "Water Safety" badges, and make them more aware of the dark in general. Follow this link for more

15 Dec 2012: Wheels for Rotary - the Cycle Challenge - from Hungerford to Ligueil and back from 7-14 July 2013: Work is underway to prepare for this major event in 2013.

7 Nov 2012: Supporting Chestnut Walk Care Home: Hungerford Rotary Club has continued its' commitment to the Council's Hungerford Chestnut Walk Care Home by installing a new TV and providing much needed  Activity Equipment including items used in daily life in the1930/40's, such as Ration Books and Wash Boards, which were found to stimulate much needed conversation with patients. 31 Oct 2012: Two new members: We are delighted to report that two new members were inducted at last evening's meeting - Mrs Virginia Crane and Mr Tom Graham. Welcome to the Rotary community! This brings the number of members of the Hungerford Rotary Club to 36.

11 Oct 2012: Death of Past President David Wallis: It is with great sadness that we record here the death earlier today of Immediate Past President David Wallis. Members will know of his long battle with serious illness, which he bore so bravely and uncomplainingly. He will be missed by all who knew him from so many circles of friends and family. Our condolences go to Wendy, and all the family.

1 Oct 2012: Update on Polio Eradication Program: At the special session of the United Nations Geeral Assembly on 27 Sep 2012, Secretary Ban Ki-moon confirmed his committment to Polio Eradication, and urged world leaders to support all efforts to 'finish the job'. He praised Rotary's leadership in the Global Polio Eradication Initiative.

As Rotary pledged another $75 million, Chairman of Trustees of Rotary Foundation Wilf Wilkinson said "We are at a true tipping point, with success never closer than it is right now. We must seize the advantage by acting immediately, or risk breaking the pledge to the world's children.

10 Sep 2012: Metal Detecting Day on East Garston Down: Another excellent Metal Detecting Day was organised by the club. The weather remained dry, and about 189 detectorist attended. The cake stall made 84.00, there was a 30 donation from the "burger van". In all, our Rotary Charities will benefit from the total of 2899 surplus from the day. President Nick Fritz thanked everyone who helped make the day such a success, especially David Howard, David Heather and Alistair Taylor. All unsold cakes were given to the Chestnut Walk Care Home.
