Weekly report
Speaker at Welshpool Rotary Club's weekly lunch was Rtn Mike Edwards, who talked about his career in the banking sector, with some amusing anecdotes about the "good old days" - just shows that a bankers life is much more interesting than we thought! The vote of thanks was given by Past President Dennis Duggan, who also mentioned that he was taking part in Race The Train on September 15th, and that he had the arrangements for the District Quiz in hand.
Rtn Fiona Potts asked members to let her know if they wished to attend a concert at Birmingham Symphony Hall next April, which was the start of the Rotary Conference. The City of Birmingham Symphony Orchestra and the Treorchy Male Voice Choir will be taking part.
