Our Memory Cafe

The Memory Cafe provides an informal setting for people with short-term memory problems and their carers to exchange experiences and information.

Meetings are varied and consist of speakers, games and activities that stimulate the memory.

Recently the service users have enjoyed visits to Beamish Museum and vists from Consett Heritage Centre.

Our Memory Cafe provides information as well as practical tips about coping with dementia and memory problems.
wThey assist in reducing the isolation often felt by people with dementia, their carers and families and provide a central point where education and information may be distributed.
The Memory Cafe runs every third Thursday in the month, 2pm til 4pm. It is based in Consett Methodist Church Hall, Station Road.  Ring Susan Mellor for details Tel: 01207 583268
