Solihull Young Carers recently enjoyed a three day break sponsored by the Rotary Club of Solihull St Alphege at the Birmingham Scouts Association Blackwell Activity Centre. This gave young carers of Solihull some much needed respite from their caring responsibilities at home. They all agreed it was great fun, and enjoyed having some well-deserved quality time to themselves, with other young carers. During the break Barry Noy, Events and Activities Co-ordinator at Solihull Young Carers invited Rotarians John Cooper, Ian Snelling and Chris Hands to join the party for a barbeque when a thank you card was presented to the Rotary Club.

Food and kitchen items for the holiday were also obtained at a discount from Sainsburys Solihull by Club members.

Young carers are aged between 5 and 18 and help care for someone at home. If you are a young carer, or know someone who is, please contact Solihull Young Carers on 0121 788 1143.
