Update * Shelter Box and Local Youth Projects Sponsored Walk

It was decided at the recent Business meeting that due to the current call on Shelterboxes for the Philippines we would respond with the purchase of Two Shelterboxes.

We would like to thank all those who have sponsorship us on this venture and those from pervious fund raising activities that have enabled this to happen.

Selkirk Rotary Club have once again stepped up to the mark this week by responding to the Philippines appeal and donating two Shelter Boxes

Each box contains a tent which can give shelter to a family of up to ten people and also contains equipment comprising of blankets, tools, water purification kit, stove, pots. pans , cutlery, cups, plates etc. This donation will give temporary shelter for up to a year or more for around 20 people.
