Sowerby Bridge Rushbearing

We are happy to help marshal the annual Sowerby Bridge Rush Bearing procession.

For as many years as we can remember in September each year. the Rotary Club of Sowerby Bridge take a major role in the marshalling of the two day Rush Bearing Parade.

The Rush Cart and lengthy procession travel from church to church (and from pub to pub) starting at Sowerby Bridge and taking in local villages on route to the finish at Ripponden. At each stop there is traditional music and dancing together with refreshments for all.
