Trowbridge Visually Impaired Club supper
The Rotary Club of Trowbridge Wessex Mead was pleased to host a supper for members of the Trowbridge Visually Impaired Club on Monday 14th October at the Park Club in Trowbridge.
Members of the Rotary Club prepared a homemade selection of beef stew with dumplings or chicken pie followed by apple crumble with custard or luscious lemon cheesecake, with the evening co-ordinated by event organiser Rotarian Mark Davey. Members not busy in the kitchen waited on the tables and served drinks to keep the guests happy whilst they listened to a local musician who entertained us all evening.
This is the second time that Trowbridge Wessex Mead has hosted the event and Club President Alan Drew said that we were happy to support such a worthwhile cause. Community involvement is something we like to be part of and supporting the Visually Impaired Club is an activity we are proud to be involved with.
Trowbridge Visually Impaired Club meets weekly onTuesdays between 1.45pm - 3.45pm at St. John's Church Hall, Trowbridge. For more information please contact Mrs Joan Jefferies on 01225 755471.
