Alderney aids the Philippines

Thanks to the generosity of the people of Alderney the Rotary Club of Alderney has been able to send some much-needed aid to help the victims of one of the worst natural catastrophes of recent times.

Following the street collection and other fund-raising activities carried out over the weekend of the 23^rd and 24th November no less than three Shelterboxes are on their way plus three Aquabox Community water filtration kits, each of the latter capable of providing up to 500,000 litres of drinking water from the local contaminated water sources. One AquaBox Community provides enough basic drinking water for 100 families for well over a year and a half.

The Rotary Club of Alderney would like to emphasise their enormous debt of gratitude to all the generous and empathetic people of Alderney. Rotary could do none of this without their kind and generous support.
