Meeting Report
Welshpool Rotary Club is twinned with the Rotary Club of Norfolk Sunrise, Simcoe, Ontario, and for many years there has been an exchange of students from Welshpool High School with their counterparts in Canada.
In October last year eight people from the high school went to stay with host families in Canada. They were Steve Hamer, teacher and group leader; Ellie Cordy; Eleanor Thomas; Faye Hudson; Eliot Collins; Heledd Hamer; Huw Morris and Peter Smith.
On January 8th there was a special meeting at The Royal Oak Hotel, when the group spoke about their experiences in Canada, and showed slides. Several parents were in attendance, along with guests of Rotarians.
In early March a party from Simcoe will visit Welshpool for one week, and stay with their host families.
