District Quiz with Builth Wells RC at the Knighton Hotel

Wed, Oct 29th 2014 at 6:32 pm - 6:32 pm

We met Builth Wells Rotary Club for the first round of our zone's District Quiz tonight....

and an enjoyable evening was had by all. As you can see from the photos the questions were challenging ( note intense expressions) but fair and a balanced mix to suit everyone. A nice touch by Quiz Master Christine Bayliss was a chocolate for those audience members who supplied the correct answer to a questions neither team could answer themselves. Not many chocolates dispensed but still it all added to the pleasant informal atmosphere. After a epic battle ( and a very poor result from both teams on the Rotary round!) Knighton prevailed and will now meet either Brecon or Ebbw Vale in the next round in mid November. Mixed feelings from the team ( " How far will we have to travel??") but we know they will do us proud .......
