District Disability Games

Wed, Apr 16th 2014 at 12:00 am - 12:00 am

The games were held at Barnsley Metrodome and in 2015 move to Scunthorpe

The Rotary District Disability Games held recently at Barnsley Metrodome proved to be a very successful day for local competitors. Many thanks to all those who kindly volunteered their day to put on this massive event.

These games enable competitors with any disability to come together for the day and take part in a variety of events including Curling, Bochia, table tennis, Darts, Snooker, Archery, Rifle Shooting, weight Lifting and Swimming.  Many competitors take part year after year and renew old friendships when they join the other competitors, their carers and Rotarians for the day.

All that took part and the especially the 23  that represented the Rotary Club of Brigg had a very enjoyable day and a winner
