Sports & Social Committee


This committee, led by Dan Casey this year, is responsible for organising our social events.

These range from tours of local breweries, trips to local attractions, treasue hunts and special evenings at the club.

St. Davids Day Celebration 2016

more The Club celebrated St Davids Day with a typical Welsh themed meal at Maenan Abbey Hotel on 29th February. Guests from Dyffryn Conwy Soroptimists and Conwy Rotary Club attended the social evening.

Treasure Hunt 2014

more 37 members, relatives and friends enjoyed the 2014 Walking Treasure Hunt around Llanrwst on 4th August.Organised by Rotarians Pat Rowley and Martin Allsopp the subtle clues unravelled some hidden history. Afterwards a fish supper was enjoyed at Tir-a-Mor.

Something Special 30th September 2013

more Members, guests and friends enjoyed a 'Something Special' evening at the Glan Aber Hotel, Betws-y-Coed on Monday 30th September. Food at the Indian Themed evening was provided by the award winning Asha Balti House, Llanrwst. Everyone enjoyed the evening.

Barbecue Evening 2014

more Rotarians, partners and guests, together with Asst Governor Brian Masheter enjoyed a very succulent barbecue at the Maenan Abbey hotel on June30th. The barbecue was followed by the annual Club Assembly meeting outlining plans for the Rotary year ahead.

Bodnant Gardens 2013

more Monday 16th August, 16 members, wives and partners visited Bodnant Gardens. Guide and NT volunteer, Rotarian Dennis Reeve, explained the history of the estate and the background to the plants, trees and shrubs. Afterwards a meal was enjoyed at Tir-y-Mor.
