On Monday 28th July 2014 members had the choice of watching test cricket all day or visiting another Rotary Club in the evening. Rotarians were joined by members of the University of the Third Age Grumpy Old Men's Club and Bruce's rugby friends in a visit to watch England v India at the Ageas Bowl - 32 people were on the coach. The weather was very good and excellent company, food and drink was enjoyed by all. It was a great day and England even started their comeback against India. Thanks to Rotarian Bruce for organising the event and Rotarian Geoff Sumner for arranging the transport.
An alternative event was organised for members not going to the cricket - a visit to the Rotary Club of Godalming Woolsack. Eight Fleet Rotarians made the trip to West Surrey Golf Club to enjoy the company of another club. A very good evening was enjoyed by the Fleet Rotarians - thank you for your hospitality and fellowship! We look forward to you visiting Fleet Rotary soon.
more Rotarians and their partners relaxing and enjoying themselves - even the croquet was played with grace and dignity and not too much foul play !
