Andrew's 27 Hour Challenge

Inspired by the challenges faced every day by people with disabilities, Past President Andrew has set himself the enormous challenge of walking for 27 hours to raise money to send a disabled person to the Calvert Trust

Inspired by the challenges faced every day by people with disabilities Past President Andrew has set himself the enormous challenge of walking for 27 hours.

The purpose of the challenge is to not only to raise money to send a disabled person to the Calvert trust but also to raise awareness of all the good work both Rotary & the Calvert Trust Do every day.

Andrew says "I have experienced first had the life changing work of the Calvert Trust where they not only inspire people with disabilities but give them a 'can do' attitude and a new outlook on life. It is a truly amazing experience to look down over a 100ft cliff edge and see a young man out of his wheelchair smiling back up at you hanging only by a rope."

Starting at 0900 on the Friday I0th October Andrew will set up a treadmill at J Balchin & Son Newsagents so customers and friends can visit and support me throughout the 27 gruelling hours of this endurance event.

He will be recording his mileage so why not have a guess at how many miles he will cover in the 27 hours and register your guess in your donation message. A bottle of wine goes to the person with the nearest guess.

Event date:

10-October-2014 09:00  -  11-October-2014 12:00
