Friends of Rotary

Friends and Helpers

Friends of Rotary

. . . . is a relatively new concept within the club and was set up to enable people within our local community who share the ideals of Rotary, to take part in some of our activities without having the commitments of full time membership.

This might involve hands-on help with local projects as well as enjoying some of the social events that are a regular feature of our annual programme.

We keep in touch with our Friends by way of a regular email circular outlining upcoming events as well as enjoying their participation in our regular "Open Meetings" and projects such as the Christmas float, car boot sales and sponsored swimming.

The intention is for this group to grow in numbers as well as it being a possible taster for individuals to take the next step and become full members of the club.

Our Helpers

There are many others who support what we do, and simply want to help when we really need it. These people assist with big collections, like our Christmas Float and other activities where we need extra pairs of hands.
