Update on Phonic Literacy Project in South Africa

Mon, Dec 1st 2014 at 12:00 am - 12:00 am

Rachel Bowyer presented an update on her work with children in South Africa. We have been supporting her associated with Rotary clubs in South Africa and America.

It was a partners and friends evening at The Rotary Club of Blythe Bridge and District on the 1st December and we were privileged to welcome Rachel Bowler from Soul Action South Africa on her work on improving the English language skills of children in remote South African Schools.

Her report and interesting presentation discussed where our donations and support are being used.  It was really impressive to see that although after some set backs, progress was being made and new ideas for future development and improvements in the teaching of South African children was being highighted.

Please find below some photos of the work being carried out.
