This is a leadership development program which focuses on secondary school students, university students, or young professionals.

RYLA events

RYLA makes use of a residential experience combined with team building and development activities around:

·        Leadership fundamentals and ethics

·        Communication skills

·        Problem solving and conflict management

·        Community and global citizenship

The Venue

The District 1145 Rotary Youth Leadership Awards (RYLA) will be held at the High Ashurst Outdoor Activity Centre in the beautiful Surrey Hills on Box Hill near Dorking. The recently upgraded activity centre with magnificent Deluxe Log Cabins offering excellent opportunities for outdoor team building programmes andsports activities.The ultra modernfacilities all with en-suite bedrooms, newly built climbing wall like no other. The refurbished centre provides a kaleidoscope of training and activity opportunities and offers you training like no other: stimulating, involving, challenging and above all fantastic fun.

RYLA will help you:

·        Develop personal self-confidence whilst leading others

·        Increase individual self-esteem by stepping outside one’s comfort zone and realising what can be achieved by pushing that bit further

·        Improving your leadership skills

·        Gain exposure to a variety of issues

·        To meet a wide range of young people with similar interests

·        Improve career skills and knowledge.
