Young Employee of the Year 2014/2015

First established in 2000 by the Rotary Club of Hexham, The Young Employee of the Year is a competition for employees between the ages of 16 and 25 working in the Tynedale area.


THE ROTARY CLUB OF HEXHAM'S YOUNG EMPLOYEE OF THE YEAR 2014/2015.

The competition is designed to recognise young people who are making an outstanding contribution to your Company or Organisation and are in turn contributing to the successful development of the Tynedale area.

In 2005, the late Jack Charlton, at the time the Rotary Club's longest serving Member presented a Trophy and agreed that the award to be given in his name, more recently, Hexham Town Council agreed to donate an additional award in the name of J.B. Jonas, a previous Mayor of Hexham and a Rotarian.

The organisers are looking for nominations of employees who have positive attitudes to work and learning, have achieved good relations with their work colleagues and are making an outstanding contribution to your Company or organisation.

They should fulfil the following criteria:

  • Are working as an employee within the former Tynedale District Council area.

  • Have been in post for at least six months

  • Are aged between 16 and 25 years of age ( if under 18 the consent of a Parent or Guardian is required)

The closing date for entries is 23rd January 2015. These should be sent to Alex Kerr.

Interviews for short-listed candidates will be held in January 2015

The winners will be announced at a presentation held during the lunchtime meeting of the Rotary Club to be held at the Beaumont Hotel, Hexham on Monday 9th February commencing at 12.45pm.
