Fellowship Luncheon at the Bridge Bistro
A convivial luncheon was enjoyed on 17th February at the newly re-opened Bridge Bistro after their usual closure after Christmas. Over thirty Rotarians, partners and friends enjoyed a very friendly gathering- the noise of the chatter made conversation a loud affair!
The set menu was well appreciated by everyone, I chose the Asian broth (ginger, chilli, spring onion and coriander with guinea fowl) as a starter (last time I had this was as misu in Kyoto, Japan- delicious!), Sea Bream as my main. I finished off with sticky toffee pudding with Cornish clotted cream as my dessert- well how could I resist? The Bistro came first in the RNLI annual sticky toffee pudding competition recently.
It was good to catch up with John and Jo Drayson and David and Gill Brockis. Everyone thought the event should be repeated as the food, ambience and fellowship was everything one could wish for and at only
