She will be teaching disadvantaged children in a primary school, mainly delivering English lessons as well as a range of other subjects. During her year in Honduras she plans to set up extra-curricular activities for the children using her knowledge of performing arts and music. She will travel and live with a partner selected by the Project Trust but hopes to fully integrate herself into Honduran life and to help the community in whatever ways she can. In order for Hebe to participate in this life changing experience she has to raise £5900. To date Hebe has raised almost £4,600. The Rotary Club of Hexham are delighted to have made a contribution to Hebe's efforts to help others.
Hebe has now set off for and has safely arrived in Tomalà in Honduras. She plans to write a blog whilst she's in the country and if you would like to find out the latest news from Honduras please follow the link to her blog.
