Cyclone Pam Rotary Club of Buxton Vanuatu Response

On the 13 March 2015, cat. 5 cyclone Pam tracked through Vanuatu. The Island of Efate, Tanna and Epi Islands took a direct hit and were devastated: limited food supplies, no clean drinking water; no shelter; no crops.

Within days of Cyclone PAM hitting the archipelago of Vanuatu, the Rotary Box Schemes went into action to help deliver shelter, water filters and humanitarian aid to the islands. If you would like to help by donating, visit the individual box scheme pages (links below). More information about them is on our Rotary Disaster Boxes page.

Our own Street Collection of 4 April 2015 raised £264.40 which is enough for an AquaFilter Community Aquabox (£250) which will supply safe drinking water to 500 people for at least 18 months.
