Stroke Awareness Day in April 2015

This is an annual event where every Rotary Club in the UK is asked to support "Stroke Awareness" on the same day. The awareness of the importance of regular blood pressure checks has risen dramatically over the last twenty years and Rotarians have contributed to that increase and have saved lives!
A team of Rotarians, including three doctors, were in the Regency Arcade in a prime spot, by the entrance to the car park.
The doctors took  customers' blood pressures and gave advice to them as necessary.
The team persuaded over one hundred and twenty people of all ages to have the check during a three hour slot, emphasising just how important it was to have the check and also reminding them that it was FREE!
The public response was very positive and the Rotarian contribution to saving lives made this a very worthwhile and rewarding event.
