ETTRICK VALLEY LEISURE RIDE

We are organising a Charity leisure ride to raise money for Macmillan Cancer Support.

Macmill

The EVMLR’s first event is to be held on Saturday 30th May 2015, starting from Ettrickbridge Sports Field (Ettrick Forest Sports & Recreation Club) with a choice of 29 or 48 mile routes.

The rides are both circular taking in the beautiful surrounding landscape of the Ettrick and Yarrow Valleys with the ride mainly on well surfaced back roads with very little traffic.

The event starts and finishes in Ettrickbridge with the route heading east towards Bowhill and the Yarrow Valley, turning west and heading to the Gordon Arms and then up over the swire past Berrybush to Ettrick. A food station marks the ride split at Tushielaw where the short route turns left returning to Ettrickbridge or right for the long route taking in Roberton, via Alemoor reservoir, onto Ashkirk via Wolrig and finally returning to Ettrickbridge where refreshments are available.

If you would like to sponsor me that would be great, Many thanks Colin.
