Martin Perry on Cosmetics & Toiletries, with partners

Wed 5th August 2015 at 19.00 - 21.00

Martin talking on Cosmetics and Toiletries: Control Content and Claim.

Kyoko, Georgie and Shoko choose some samples after the talk

President Bernie welcomed Kyoto and Georgie - the youth exchange students together with Shoko Eager who came to help with translating.  Shoko read out Bernie's welcome in Japanese, before Bernie translated for the rest of us!

Kyoto only arrived late on Monday and was still getting over jet lag.  She presented President Bernie with a banner from her sponsoring Rotary Club of Osaka Sayama. Georgie had presented our banner when she was in Japan a few weeks ago. Georgie talked briefly about her trip and thanked Rotary for sponsoring her.

Martin gave a fascination brief run through what is involved in testing the science behind many cosmetics.

There were a few samples of nail varnish and lipstick , although as Martin explained, mainly of the lower end of the cosmetic range. The expensive brands where the packaging could be the main reason for the extra cost did not provide free samples.  Watch out for more green fingernails in Ledbury.
