Speaker Roger Coultherd - Yorkshire

Tue, Dec 15th 2015 at 7:00 pm - 8:30 pm

Roger Coultherd was just champion when St Andrews Kilrymont Rotarians understood nowt what he was gibberin on a'gate.  Club member Roger gave a most amusing talk on Yorkshire and its dialects. He produced a glossary of words and phrases, many of which had members bamboozled.  Brought up in Yorkshire, Roger told tales of the agricultural communities he lived amongst and the many characters of the Dales he encountered.

James Yule proposed thanks.

This year the club managed to collect 196 shoe boxes with the help of the four local primary schools. As usual, these boxes containing useful, everyday items, will be distributed to refugees and needy east European countries.
