What does a Rotaract Club do?

A Rotaract club gives young people the opportunity to:

  • meet new people and make new friends
  • enjoy fellowship with like minded people
  • to try something new in their life
  • develop leadership & teamwork skills
  • introduces members to the concept of ‘Service’
  • make a difference in their community

Although clubs are sponsored by Rotary, each club is autonomous and organises its own activities, whether it‘s a social activity, a fundraising event or helping in the local community. All Rotaract activities begin at the local, grassroots level, with members addressing their communities’ physical and social needs while promoting international understanding and peace through a framework of friendship and service.

Rotaract clubs work in the local community and raise money for charity just as Rotary clubs do. Rotaract is all about having fun while helping others, much like Rotary really

The club was sponsored by our club the Rotary Club of Cleethorpes

Sponsoring a Rotaract club is a great way for Rotary clubs to help young people to develop into responsible, productive members of society by giving them the opportunity to work in the community, to learn from their mistakes in a controlled environment and to develop their leadership skills. Like Rotarians, Rotaractors get huge satisfaction from helping others and making a difference to their community.
