Thornhill & District Rotary Club host their 2015 Handover Golf Competition

GOLF COMPETITION

In a competition held recently at Thornhill Golf Club, Thornhill and District Rotarian Gordon Lawson narrowly squeezed past his fellow Rotarians to win the R W Mitchell Trophy. The trophy which was donated to the club by Rotarian Robert Mitchell, a partner at Dumfries-based accountants Farries Kirk and McVean, is played for annually on the day of the hand-over to the new Rotary Club President.

Rotarian Gordon, who was a senior manager with Dumfries & Galloway Council, said ‘I am delighted to win this trophy and I would like to thank my fellow competitors for a most enjoyable day’s golf.
