The Appeal provides help for the Kambia Hospital in Sierra Leone in the form of training for staff, equipment, regular drugs supplies and a number of motorbikes to enable doctors and nurses to reach villages. Their work focuses on strengthening local health services for women and children in Kambia District.  Kambia District Hospital is the only hospital in the district serving a population of over 308,000 spread over a large area.

The Kambia Appeal works in partnership with The Gloucestershire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust to provide maternal and child health training to Kambia health staff.
