Treasure Hunt on 4th August 2015

Details and pictures from the Treasure Hunt in Painswick

The Club's Tuesday 4th August meeting took the form of a walking Treasure Hunt in the small Cotswold town of Painswick. 22 Club members plus partners and friends participated in a 1.5hr to 2hr walk through the very picturesque streets of the town centre looking for the answers to 46  set clues. The trail included a visit to St. Mary's, the Parish Church, which was enhanced by floral displays and artworks celebrating Art Burst, a week long art festival in the town.

The Treasure Hunt finished in the Shires function room of the Falcon Inn where a light meal, drinks and excellent company was enjoyed by no less than 41 Rotarians and friends. This year the winners proved to be Basil and Roz Butterworth to whom President Hans presented the Cup and a bottle of Prosecco. Charmian Sheppard's team of three claimed the runner up prize.
