'Fair fa' your honest, sonsie face, Great chieftain o the puddin' race' ..... The first few lines of another excellent night in celebration of our national bard, Robert Burns.

President Edith kept us all in good order as we heard Rtn Paul Tomlinson address the haggis, which was ably piped in by our excellent piper, Jack Houston. Burns' own Selkirk Grace was given by Rtn Ferdous Ahmed.

Having enjoyed an excellent supper provided by The County Hotel, Derek Inglis entertained us by his own Immortal Memory followed by 'Holy Wullie's Prayer' and 'Wullie Wassel'.

Jock Nairn toasted our lassies which was replied to in song and verse by Hawick's Joyce Tinlin.

'The Braes O Killiecrankie' was the centre piece of Tommy Knox and Jimmy Gibb's muscial performances.
