Guests from The Prince of Wales Care Home and Stow Care, Stowmarket enjoying a day out with Rotarians

Rotarians almost ready for action

The rain stopped, the sun shone, and here were 9 Wolsey Rotary members at The Hut on the promenade at Felixstowe eagerly awaiting the arrival of 20 of our older citizens from the Prince of Wales Care Home, Ipswich and Stow Care, Stowmarket. ( Ages 80 - 100).

As they arrived with their carers we could sense their excitement at this special day out.

We all love helping at this yearly event, as the fun, humour, banter and happiness it gives to everyone present is so worthwhile.

Not only do we all enjoy our fish and chip lunch, but the long walks along the promenade and chats with our guests about the past and present are so interesting.

On leaving their sincere thanks are so warmly received. To us their happy smiles say it all!

Bring on next year!
