Here are some things the Rotary Club of High Wycombe has done to make a difference locally and internationally. We have:

Helped Local People and Charities

Volunteering with the High Wycombe food bank, the One Can Trust. Helping with the allotment for a local Down’s Syndrome charity. Driving visually impaired people to activities as part of Bucks Vision. Gardening at South Bucks Hospice. Joining with St John’s ambulance to run Stroke Awareness days.

Given Financial Support to Local and International Charities

As a Club we have enjoyed organising fundraising activities --‐ Fun boat racing, Children in Need, Fireworks, Christmas collections, Quiz Nights, and annual Sporting Lunches. Some of the local charities we have contributed to include: the South Bucks Hospice; Wycombe Women’s Aid; Kids in Sport; Wycombe night shelter; Air Ambulance service. Internationally we have supported life--‐changing projects including Rotary’s worldwide project

End Polio Now.

We have funded the purchase of Shelter Boxes and Aqua boxes to help with world disasters such as tsunamis, earthquakes and Ebola outbreaks.

Showcased the Work of Young People

Our members gain great personal satisfaction

in helping young people. We organise a Reading in Schools project, interview skills workshops, technology and business tournaments. Young people demonstrate their talents by taking part in our competitions: Youth Speaks and Young Chef.
