Mecca Charity Collectons

Collections once a year in aid of charities.

Once a year, on an agreed Sunday Evening, Rotarians Robert Gray and Alun Morgan, with the aid of other Rotarians and the kind Cooperation of Mecca Bingo,carry out a collection at the Wrexham premises in aid of mainly local charities.

 This began in 1999 and has continued to the present day. The latest collection was on Sunday Oct 25th 2015 and raised £239.62.

  Over the years £4,109.17 has been raised. The local Charities that have benefited include Nightingale House, Dynamic, Clwyd Special Riding Centre, Hope House and Shooting Star Appeal.

  Other, more national appeals to benefit include Help for Heroes, Cancer Relief and Wales Air Ambulance.

 2016's Collection took place on Sunday July 31st and raised more than £850 for the restoration of Erlas Walled Gardens.
