Wendy Pinker from Abbots Leigh, found the healthcare provided in Nepal of poor quality during a two year visit to the country. Back in the UK she was able, with partners, to arrange the development of a free clinic in Kathmandu. The clinic aims to improve the quality of life for children suffering from an inheirited blood disease Thalassaemia.
