Christmas Street Collection

Mon 7th December 2015 at 11.30 - Fri 11th December 2015 - 16.00

We held our annual charity collection in Eldon Square on 7th-9th and 11th December. This year we raised a total of £2,569.83 which will be going to the Children's Heart Foundation.

Please be aware that the new arrangements are as follows
Monday 7th
We shall be in St Andrews Way at Eldon Square outside the Apple shop between 11.15 and 12.30, with the children from Northern Counties School. The base for meeting and registering will be Room 6 at the Brunswick Chapel at any time after 10.30am
Tuesday 8th
Again we shall be located at St Andrews Way and the music will be provided by the Silver Woodwind Band . But we are allocated a time only from 12.30 to 1.30. Just the one hour slot.  Brunswick Room 6 is the base
Wednesday 9th
This is as planned. We have two one hour slots with the children from Percy Hedley School and then , again, Northern Counties School. Two hours in total from 12noon to 2pm.
Thursday 10th
We are not allocated any slots at Eldon Square.
But please note that the Club Lunch this week has been moved from Friday to Thursday at 12.45 and that our speaker will be the very interesting and compelling Tony Wortman, a former District Governor, who will be talking about aspects of the Jewish Faith. Please do not come for lunch on Friday…it will be served on Thursday.
Friday 11th
Changes again
We managed to rescue one slot at the normal location outside Boots and John Lewis in Eldon Square between 3-4pm. We shall use the Brunswick Church as the meeting point but due to the late finish at Eldon Square we shall not return there after the Thomas Hebburn School and Whitley Womens choir have finished singing.
All proceeds from the week will be added to the fund to support CHUF, the Childrens Heart Unit Fund, and we in turn hope to be supported by volunteers from CHUF in Eldon Square throughout the week.

Club Members who are able to come and assist in the collection  may wish to wear their “Communities” Polo shirts. Tabards will also be available in the Room 6 at Brunswick
