CHRISTMAS TREE FESTIVAL

Thu, Dec 10th 2015 at 12:00 am- Sat, Dec 12th 2015 - 12:00 am

St MIchael and All Angels Church, High Street, Lyndhurst.

The Friends of Lyndhurst Surgery and the League of Friends of the Fenwick Hospital held a Christmas Tree Festival in St Michael and All Angels Church at the top of Lyndhurst High Street. Nearly forty organisations including the Zumba Club, the Girl Guides, Lyndhurst U3A and the church itself dressed Christmas Trees or Christmas themed displays. It proved very popular and many locals and visitors enjoyed it. As usual our Rotary Club took part and this year had two trees. Ken Ball dressed a traditional tree, provided free by George Stephens, publicising our activities, particularly on Polio Plus. Christine Brown and Sally Ball, with help from John and Ken, presented a very clever tree with twelve boxes displaying the twelve days of Christmas which were opened to display major events and fund raisers we had organised in the last twelve years. This proved very popular and many people couldn't resist lifting the lids of the boxes to see the photos inside.

The Christmas Tree Festival has put up a Facebook page and pictured each tree, giving Rotary the privilege of four pictures to everybody elses one,  CLICK HERE for their  Facebook page
