President Lesley Kennedy welcomed 15 other members — a 'full house' except for Denis Taylor. A sheet was circulated for the Garelochside club's Burns Night at the Rosslea Hall Hotel on Monday at 7.15 for 7.30pm, with four members and three spouses attending.
After welcoming the dramatic improvement over the years in the international fight against polio, Gordon Burgess spoke about his involvement in Helensburgh Writers Workshop, and read a brilliant 'Anti-Santa Story' by Catriona Malan. Derek Hall proposed the vote of thanks.
The weekly raffle for a whisky miniature was won by Bill Jones.
