Graham Smith invited past president Sheenah Nelson of the Helensburgh Garelochside club to talk about defibrillators, and Jack Rudram gave the vote of thanks.


President Lesley Kennedy welcomed 13 other members, speaker Sheenah Nelson from the Garelochside club, and two visiting rotarians from the Allander club, Gordon McCorkindale and Colin Robertson.

International convener Douglas Dow asked members to bring a bottle next week for prizes at the annual Bridge Night, Adam Muggoch reported that the Young Baker competition was at Hermitage Academy later in the day, and Jack Rudram said that the Young Writer medals and certificates had been presented. The Primary 7 Quiz is a week on Thursday.

Sheenah Nelson gave a fascinating account of the progress of Heartstart and defibrillators (AEDs) locally in recent years, described the use of CPR and AEDs, then gave a demonstration of how to use an AED. She also asked for suggestions for where AEDs could be sited locally. Jack Rudram proposed the vote of thanks.

The weekly raffle for a whisky miniature was won by Ian Mowat.
