The Christmas tree collection went very well this year with the people of Bishop Auckland giving very generously a very impressive £1893.90

The long playlist of carols and popular music was well received by both Rotarians and shoppers alike.

A few improvements for the lights have been noted for next year’s event

President David Breden sent his thanks and best wishes to all Rotarians and also to the generous people of Bishop Auckland

In an effort to crack the £2000 mark one Rotarian, 72 year old John Yeomans, took part in the Whitley Bay Dip in the North Sea on New Year’s Day and he raised the £107 to reach the target.

The £2000 will be donated to The Great North Air Ambulance to support the life-saving work it carries out
