'Live to Love UK' are currently running a campaign to build 200 houses in the Kathmandu Valley for people who lost their homes in the earthquake in April 2015. They have now constructed all the frames (design approved by the UN) and are working with local villagers to complete their new homes.
Diana Balnchard, one of the organiser's, said 'As you will know, it is still a desperate situation in the region with countless families still homeless and living with immense loss of loved ones and livelihood. We are making a very direct difference by building homes in remote villages to rehouse displaced families – and all through entirely voluntary support so that 100% of all donations goes directly to the project. Gloucester Severn's donation will be of great value to this project'.
